Start of series production for the three-phase inverters of the QX³ series from 4 kW

From April 2015, Q3 ENERGIE GmbH & Co. KG will be expanding its inverter portfolio to include three-phase devices from the QX³series in the power classes from 4 to 20 kW.

This is Q3's response to the trend towards three-phase feed-in for smaller output classes in the single-family home and small commercial building segments. In addition, the new inverters from Q3 are already equipped with 2 MPP trackers from an output of 4 kW and 3 MPP trackers from 10 kW. This is an advantage, as many roof situations in Germany are now less favorable, making several independent MPP trackers necessary.

The MPP range itself has been significantly extended downwards compared to the older devices in order to be able to design better with further increasing module outputs.

With an efficiency of up to 97.5% or 98%, the appliances are at the upper limit of what is technically feasible.

A change has also been made to the housing technology. The QX³family from Q3 is equipped with a die-cast aluminum housing and is IP65 rated. The larger output classes in particular are aimed at a mass market for PV parks >500kWp output and are to be produced in large quantities in order to meet the ongoing price pressure.

Q3 plans to sell 20,000 devices on the international market with this inverter series in the medium term.
