The Alpha ESS home storage series uses solar energy to directly supply the electricity consumption of a home grid, charge the batteries and feed the surplus into the grid. The energy management system (EMS) uses an integrated control system and adaptive logic to control and optimize the energy flow in order to achieve maximum PV self-consumption, among other things.
The series also offers advanced load shifting and demand-based charge management as well as a backup function in the event of a power outage. Modern lithium iron phosphate batteries with a robust metal cell housing and their own BMS with temperature and voltage monitoring at cell level offer maximum safety and longevity.
Why lithium iron phosphate batteries?
Alpha ESS only uses lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) due to their high level of safety and long service life. LiFePO4 cells are intrinsically safe and have no memory effect. They are characterized in particular by their high cycle stability, high efficiency and high charging currents. In addition, LiFePO4 batteries are particularly environmentally friendly among lithium batteries because the use of heavy metals such as cobalt or lead can be completely dispensed with.
UPS - emergency power function
Even in the event of a power failure, the sun's energy is available to you free of charge. Enjoy your own electricity even in the event of a power failure or disruption to the electricity grid and become independent of the energy supplier! The SMILE-B3 can supply up to 3 loads directly (emergency power socket) or via the backup backup the home network with real UPS. The backup box comes with an electricity meter function and also enables load management in the event of a power outage. With the backup box, the complete house supply is possible on all 3 phases.
