We have added two new standard variants to our custom-built generator connection boxes.

To connect several strings in parallel to an inverter, you need a generator connection box. Our aim is to make your installation process easier, faster and safer. Our boxes are ready to install and can be connected immediately. Until now, we have built our generator connection boxes to customer specifications, but now we also offer two standard variants.

Both variants of the generator connection box are equipped with type 1/2 overvoltage protection and for 1,200 VDC/connection of photovoltaic modules to the inverter.

Our generator junction boxes ensure a high level of safety right from the installation stage. They ensure clean and clear wiring (stringing) of PV modules on the roof or in the open field. Several strings often have to be connected in parallel in order to transport suitable power to the inverter at reasonable system voltages. The individual strings are connected directly to the modules in the string box and connected to the inverter input with just two cables (plus and minus). Each generator connection box contains a pressure equalization element as standard for effective protection against condensation.

String boxes and generator connection box from Q3

 

Q3 generator connection boxes (string boxes) are manufactured individually according to your requirements from one unit. They vary in their features (number of strings, number of MPPTs, type of housing, type of inputs and outputs, fuse/diode, etc.). This means we can cover all requirements. Our generator connection boxes are suitable for all inverters (SMA, Huawei, Fronius, Solar Edge ...).

As an option, we can customize your box with a (remotely triggered) DC circuit breaker, overvoltage protection (T1+T2/T2, e.g. Dehn, Citel, Finder), string current measurement, voltage measurement and data transmission. This means that the right technology can be selected for every PV system variant.
