This week, C.A.R.M.E.N. e.V. (CentraleAgrar-Rohstoff Marketing-und Energie-Netzwerke.V.) together with the Climate and Energy Agency Bamberg organized the expert discussion "Battery storage - high quality, low prices?" and we had the honor to present our energy manager Q-MANin this context.
Combining what belongs together: photovoltaics + storage + energy management + heating + SmartHome!
The event offered the opportunity to find out about battery storage systems and current trends on the market and to share experiences. The participants were given an insight into the most important properties and economic efficiency of battery storage systems. Stakeholders from the private, agricultural and commercial sectors, energy consultants, project developers, PV system owners and all those interested in the technical and content-related aspects of installing storage systems were invited.
Background
By the end of April 2017, over 61,000 solar energy storage systems had been installed in Germany. The high level of consumer interest is reflected in a fast-moving and constantly growing market. The German Solar Industry Association even expects an increase to 100,000 installed storage systems in Germany by 2018.
Innovations and improvements in technology as well as falling prices are constantly driving the market forward. The potential for further growth is very high due to the large number of existing and newly installed photovoltaic roof systems. However, the market is difficult for consumers to keep track of due to the large number of providers and products.
