The GAK LITE is a preconfigured DC combiner solution for photovoltaic systems with clearly defined technical requirements. It is particularly suitable for projects with 1–3 MPPT where a cost-effective, standards-compliant, and quickly available generator connection solution is required.
The standardized design significantly reduces planning effort—without compromising on safety or the protection concept.
Despite the high protection rating, the generator junction box must be installed in a weather-protected location. Installation under roof overhangs, in technical areas, or similarly protected mounting zones is recommended to ensure long-term operational reliability.
Integrated Type 1+2 DC surge protection
The GAK LITE is equipped as standard with the Q3-PV1500 Type 1+2 combined arrester.
The surge protection is designed for PV systems up to 1,500 V DC and reliably protects inverters and downstream components against transient overvoltages caused by lightning or switching events. The arrester is specifically designed for use in generator junction boxes, string boxes, and inverter environments.
Variant overview – 1, 2 or 3 MPPT
The GAK LITE is available in three standardized versions and covers typical inverter concepts with 1 to 3 MPPT. All variants are equipped with integrated Type 1+2 DC surge protection and are designed for system voltages up to 1,500 V DC. The preconfigured design enables fast project implementation for recurring system concepts.
