Expansion of Operational Energy Supply

With the aim of making its energy supply more stable and independent in the long term, the company is relying on modern solar technology. The new PV system helps to cover the energy needs of ongoing operations more efficiently and simultaneously offers greater planning security in an increasingly volatile electricity market.

The installation of a PV system in an existing building entails extensive fire protection requirements. To implement these optimally, close cooperation was established with the experienced energy and safety technology company Q3 ENERGIE.

Two high-performance firefighter switches were installed, controlled by a central firefighter key switch. Each switch is capable of reliably disconnecting 12 strings. In an emergency, this enables a quick and safe interruption of the PV lines – a crucial factor for the safety of emergency services and buildings.

Particularly practical: An integrated feedback contact signals the current system status via LEDs directly on the firefighter key switch. This visual display ensures that firefighters, technicians, and employees always have an overview.
